The folks over at NaBloPoMo have declared that June’s theme is Now and have also implemented a prompt of the day, similar to LiveJournal’s Writer’s Block feature. Seeing as I haven’t been posting much of late I thought I’d give it a try.
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An astronaut.
In the late ’70s and early ’80s we were at the tail end of the space race era – the moon landings were still recent (and very few people imagined that, 30 years later, we wouldn’t have gone back), the shuttle was brand new and shiny, oh, and Star Wars was in the cinema.
I’m not an astronaut. Yet.
