Very True Things
“He talks to himself sometimes because he’s the only one who understands what he’s saying.”

Tomorrow I turn 33. To celebrate I’m going to drink some beer. I bet no one’s ever done that before. Barrow Boy and Banker, 6:15pm. Come along and wish me a happy birthday if you like.

Very True Music: We're going to be friends - The White Stripes

This weekend the Frankenstein’s Fumblers played four matches. How many do you think we won? None. Not a single one. One draw and three losses. Touchdowns scored: one. Touchdowns conceeded: seven. Oh dear. :-(

At some point last night someone drove into the bookmaker’s next door. No idea whether it was an accident or a robbery. Didn’t wake either of us up. This morning the front of the shop was caved in and a Group 4 car was parked outside. Maybe Lettice will pop out later and take some photos.

The impact must have knocked the gate across the front of the passageway between our place and the bookies because I couldn’t unlock it this morning and had to walk the long way round. :-(

I turned down the opportunity to appear in this.

First wedding anniversary today!

And to celebrate, we’re off to the pub to see [info]littlebun. Which is rather appropriate as it was all her fault in the first place. ;-)

[Update] - the pub in question is The White Hart near Waterloo, good food and good beer. Come along if you like, we’re aiming to be there from 3pm.

Quick mention for two sites we lanched this week: Future London and Open Rehearsal. More about the former tomorrow.

The Veteran

You scored 82%!

You’ve picked up the majority of the classic rock basics. You probably have a classic rock collection and can sing along with most of the songs on your local radio station.

This is not the highest score, but it is arguably the best: that subtle combination of impressive knowledge and not being a pretentious geek.
