Discussion last night about the new Doctor Who with someone who is a sci-fi geek but not a long term DW fan. Now we all know that the Cybermen came first but are they better?

But, what about that other famous glass building in London - the GLA headquarters? In the eight months I’ve been working next door I’ve heard a number of nicknames for it but, unlike the case of the Gherkin, no one name has stuck.

(Personally I think it looks like some anime robot egg thing just starting its transformation into a killer robot, with a little bit of the annoying cute robot from The Black Hole thrown in as well.)
